The Master Dentistry series provides a good overview of the subject areas and I found them particularly useful during exam times. The text is appropriately supplemented with great diagrams and the layout of the books makes all the subject areas easy to access and find.

At the end of each chapter there are self assessment questions which were really useful and would aid any student’s learning. Each chapter has a helpful overview and learning objectives are provided throughout each chapter.

The books give a great summary of all the subject areas they cover but need to be used in conjunction with a more detailed textbook. Grant, born in Ohio to a hard-working family, attended West Point and served in the Mexican War and at posts in the far West. Leaving the army amid rumors of excessive drinking, he worked for his brother's leather tannery in Galena, Illinois, before rejoining the army at the outbreak of the Civil War. Here he achieved his greatest success. After the war he was twice elected president of the United States. Post-presidential life was filled with money worries and a race against death to complete his memoirs. Lee was the scion of a prestigious Southern aristocracy and married into the Washington-Custis family. Also a West Point graduate, his early military career was lackluster. Leading the Confederate army during the Civil War brought him fame and glory, albeit defeat. The lives of both men are now surrounded by myth and hero-worship but the highlight of these books is that the authors strive to illustrate that each one was very human, with outstanding qualities but also with faults and weaknesses. The authors present details of the men's early lives but their main focus is the Civil War. I absolutely love Tivoli Road Bakery's dedication to delicious flavors, time-old techniques, and local growers. I baked their sourdough loaf and it turned out beautifully! I cannot wait to try other recipes. Each image is gorgeous and makes me eager to bake my own version, and I love reading about the growers and people who make the bakery flourish.Just be warned, this is not a book for novice bakers (besides the ones that love time-consuming recipes and a challenge). One thing that bothered me about the design: the type for the body of the recipes is way too small.
